The American magazine on construction Engineering News Record (ENR) has published the list of the 250 largest contraction companies in the world. Turkey is already in the second place in the ranking!
The ENR professional rating is based on the annual income of international construction companies at home and abroad. In last year's ranking, Turkey was ranked the fourth, 17 Turkish real estate companies entered the top twenty of the 2019 list.
In 2020, the TOP-250 included 44 Turkish construction companies working in Turkey and abroad, implementing international projects related to urban facilities, industrial enterprises, dams, power plants and many others.
China took the first place in the 2020 ranking (76 Chinese companies entered the TOP-250). The third place is taken by the USA (in total 35 American companies entered the TOP-250). The authors of the rating stated that in 2019, when the global contractor market decreased, Turkey managed to maintain its indicators (4.6 percent share of the global market with revenues of $ 21.6 billion) and move up from the fourth to second place in the list.
Turkish developers in 2019 were concentrated in the Middle East ($ 9 billion), Europe ($ 8.2 billion) and Russia. Turkey is increasing its share of the European market this year by successfully competing with Chinese and Vietnamese contractors.
