The fee for small apartments in Istanbul has increased to 900 TL. This caused an extremely violent reaction among the residents of the megalopolis; not only did the payments for renting apartments skyrocket, and the payment for communal services (water, electricity) – by 30%, so now also aidat.
However, unlike the cost of electricity, gas and water, residents are quite able to control the size of the aidat at least partially. In the case of a very strong overestimation of prices, which the residents of the complex consider unreasonable, the lawyers remind of the need to organize a general meeting of residents and, together with the management company, review the expenses, agreeing on the amount of the contribution with the owners. If the administration of the management company does not meet halfway in the dialogue or simply does not appear at the meeting, then you can appeal the new size of aidat in court. And at the same time double-check expenses: what exactly the amounts received from residents are spent on, how and where purchases can be optimized, etc.
Earlier we have already told that the increase of aidat puzzles the owners. After all, this is not the only serious expenditure from among the regular ones: in 2022, the amount of tax on residential real estate has also increased dramatically.
