The pace of real estate sales decreased in March

The statistics collected at the end of last month show a drop in indicators for a number of parameters. Analysts compared the March figures with the figures of the same month last year - 2022, as well as data for the first quarter of both years.

 

So, in comparison with the same month of 2022:

 

the number of mortgage transactions decreased by 16.5% over the year: from 30,271 to 25,262 per month;

the number of non-mortgage transactions increased by 22.8%: from 103,899 to 80,214;

in the segment of new buildings, the decrease was 14.2%: from 38,337 to 32,899;

in the secondary real estate segment, the decrease is 24.3%: the number of transactions decreased from 95,833 to 72,577.

 

As for the first quarter of 2022 and 2023:

 

mortgage transactions decreased by 13.9%: the number of lots sold fell from 68,342 to 58,822 in three months;

non-residential sales decreased by 10.9%: from 251,721 to 224,393;

in the segment of new buildings, sales decreased by 11.2%: from 94,437 housing units in the quarter to 83,907;

in the segment of secondary real estate - by 11.7%: from 225,626 to 199,308.

 

Moreover, the growth of residential real estate prices has also slowed down somewhat, according to economists.
