In addition to the poor, the opportunity to get their own housing at a reduced price and with a convenient installment plan also appeared in middle-income households, writes the portal Emlakkulisi.
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum has officially announced that after TOKI provides 0.25 million units of social housing to the poor, a similar campaign will start for the middle-income population.
Negotiations on this issue are already underway with Emlak Konut, GYODER, INDER, the Turkish Contractors Association and some other relevant organizations.
Recall that TOKI is now engaged in providing housing to middle- and low-income families throughout the country; not so long ago, the program was also expanded with an additional «option» - the poor can claim residential land to build their own houses on it. The plots are already fully ready for residential development, water, electricity, other communications, as well as roads are connected to them.
Land plots under this program are allocated on the outskirts of cities, and they can be purchased at prices noticeably lower than market prices, and with an interest-free loan and a multi-year installment plan (for example, 10 years). Only at the first stage of the project will an area be allocated on which one hundred thousand residences can be built.
Well, apartment buildings from TOKI are rapidly «growing» all over the country, including within the framework of large projects for hundreds of apartments. One of these will appear very soon in Bursa, the fourth largest metropolis in Turkey.
