Real estate in Turkey: the main news of the past week – August 27-September 2

Just a few days ago, analysts will begin to summarize the results of the summer; the last days of it are marked by a large number of informational occasions concerning the social agenda. In particular, in the light of the beginning of the new academic year, the authorities considered it appropriate to intervene in the «student housing crisis» by providing applicants with places. 

 

The final details of the project to provide social apartments for the poor and other vulnerable groups of the population are also being discussed; the final information will be announced by the president on September 13, 2022. We are talking about a roof over their heads for hundreds of thousands of families in 81 provinces.

 

So far, only some criteria for applicants for social apartments are known: in particular, this is the total household income of no more than 16,000 Turkish liras in Istanbul and no more than 14,000 liras in other provinces. 

 

Another grandiose project, but not inside the country, but outside it, is the plan to sign foreign contracts worth $75 billion. It was also announced personally by Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Among the interesting news about the lots being sold, we will mention two profitable land plots in Cesme, the announcement of the sale of a four-star hotel in Icmeler (Marmaris, Mugla province) and the increase in the value of the giant island of Karaja put up for sale, which immediately rose by 84 million liras.
