In 59 provinces of Turkey, 263 earthquake risk zones have been identified, where 1.5 million residential buildings will be renovated according to the earthquake safety program over the next five years. This information was published by the construction and real estate newspaper in Turkey Emlak Kulisi with reference to the Ministry of Environment and Urban Development. Turkey's budget for 2021-2023 has already provided 4.5 billion TL (almost 0.5 billion euros) for this program. With this money, the authorities are planning to transform about 600 apartment buildings in seismic risk zones.
