What attracts foreign buyers of apartments to Turkey during the pandemic

Home sales in Turkey decreased in September 2020 by 6.9 percent compared to the same month last year and amounted to 136,744 objects. If we consider the results of the first nine months of 2020, then sales increased by 34.2 percent and amounted to almost 1.2 million housing units. Experts expect 1.4 million apartments and houses to be sold by the end of 2020 and apartment sales in Turkey to foreigners to continue to grow rapidly. What factors stimulate foreigners to buy Turkish housing?

First, demand from foreign investors is being driven by Turkey's successful fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Three sectors of the Turkish economy support each other during thi challenging year: tourism, real estate and healthcare. The pandemic clearly demonstrated the direct link between these three sectors, and also demonstrated that Turkey can effectively repel threats and ensure the safety of its residents and tourists. Foreigners were impressed by the effective fight against the pandemic that Turkey has carried out in its cities. As a result, many have considered Turkey as a safe spot and its industry as a reliable investment opportunity.

Secondly, the Turkish health care system itself also attracts foreign investors. In 2020, Turkey has established itself as a country where not only can you get effective and relatively inexpensive treatment, but also as a place where you can safely and comfortably go through a lockdown.
