Ankara reports on the progress of Urban transformation

What is the status of the work under the urban transformation program covering all provinces of Turkey? The mayor of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Mansur Yavash, spoke about the situation in Ankara.

In particular, a lot of attention is paid to the Mamak district, which is considered a sleeping area. There were some plans to build 10,000 new apartments five years ago — in 2019, as part of a smaller-scale "Mamak Urban Transformation Project".

Unfortunately, it is far from the promised 10,000. Nevertheless, some apartments in the Yeni Mamak district have been transferred to the beneficiaries. The financing planned for the final stage of the urban transformation of the mentioned Dikmen was announced in the center, in the Dikmen Valley (Chankai district). Two plots of land were sold, for a total amount of about 0.8 billion Turkish lira: additional housing will be built here.

At the same time, Ankara is actively building up new projects. Both residential - including premium-class - and commercial. And the recent decline in prices, especially for "secondary" properties, has pushed up sales in the Turkish capital.
