One million lira will be allocated to earthquake victims

After the earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023, the authorities announced that, in addition to building houses in the affected provinces and providing housing to those in need, citizens will also receive financial support.

For those who want and are ready to build their own house, it was decided to allocate a whole million Turkish lira (the fact of the subsidy itself was mentioned earlier, but not its size). Half a million - in the form of a subsidy; and another half a million - in the form of a loan on preferential terms.

This measure was one of the most significant on the agenda during the recent Cabinet meeting; in the sense that it was discussed especially actively. The detailed conditions of the application for a subsidy in the amount of one million lira have not yet been announced: they should be announced in the near future.

This amount is very significant, so there will be many who want to receive it; another question is how many Turkish families will receive a million-dollar subsidy in fact. After all, the February tremors have already cost the country's economy $105 billion.
