The Emlak Konut GYO Investment Fund has published an official sales report for the first quarter of 2024. Real estate transactions without VAT amounted to TL 6,226,619,568 from January 1 to March 31, 2024. The total area of 675 sold lots was 77,545 square metres.
Moreover, foreign buyers made 37 transactions in the first quarter totalling TL 458 million without VAT.
The Majör Gölyaka project has become one of the most popular projects, including 123 lots with a total area of 12,400 square metres and a total value of almost a billion (TL 998.713 million) excluding VAT. This complex accounted for 1/6 of all transactions.
The second most sought-after project was Park Yaşam in Antalya, with a transaction volume of TL 616.457 million, or about 10%. 129 apartments with a total area of 11,209 square metres were sold here in the first quarter.
Emlak Konut GYO carried out preliminary sales of 5,717 real estate units in 2023 totalling TL 53.2 billion, of which TL 4.1 billion were to citizens of other countries.
The developer plans to increase the total retail area to 533,800 square metres in 2023, which will amount to about TL 52 billion excluding VAT.
The Turkish Statistical Institute specified that the "profile" of the foreign buyer is not changing much: the key countries, where citizens buy the most real estate in Turkey, remain the same.
