The volume of transactions in the housing market at the end of the year turned out to be almost identical to last year, although December is actually less successful than December 2021. But it is more profitable than all the other months for the entire period of 2021-2022: so, both Decembers are leading by an impressive margin.
As for the volume of transactions in different segments, we give the figures below.
Number of mortgage transactions:
- December 2022 - 21,796 transactions, compared to 45,250 in December 2021 (or -45%: people are less likely to decide to take out a mortgage);
- in 2022, 280 320 mortgage transactions took place, which is not much less than in 2021: 294 530 transactions (-4.8%).
The number of housing transactions without mortgage loans:
- December 2022 - 186,167 transactions, compared to 181,243 in December 2021 (+2.7%);
- for the whole of 2022, this is 1,205,302 transactions compared to 1,197,326 in 2021 (+0.7%).
Number of transactions in the segment of new buildings:
- December 2022 - 77,889 vs. 75,747 last December (+1.5%);
- 2022 - 460,079 transactions against 461,523 for 2021 (indicators are almost identical: -0.3%).
The number of transactions in the segment of secondary housing:
- December 2022 - 130,074; in December last year it was 149,756, that is, there is a decrease of 13.1%;
- 2022 - 1,025,843 transactions, against 1,030,333 in the 12 months of last year (or -0.5%).
A little earlier, the expectations of market players from 2023 became known.
