More than 1.6 million contracts related to the purchase and sale of various real estate (not only residential) were concluded in Turkey in January-June 2022. The total revenue from the transactions amounted to about 18.5 billion Turkish liras (TL). June sales alone resulted in an amount of more than 4,638 billion TL.
During the sixth month of the year, 331,693 real estate purchase and sale transactions of all types were made. This is 20.1% more than in May (276,376 transactions in the real estate segment).
Among the provinces with the largest number of sales in the first place is traditionally Istanbul: 216,963 transactions in the half year of 2022. Istanbul is followed by Ankara (110,474), Izmir (89,381), Antalya (67,105), Bursa (61,400), Konya (46,895), Kocaeli (44,780) and Balikesir (43,394): the volumes are the most noticeable in it.
