Detailed statistics of house sales in Ankara for May 2023 have been published; figures for another Turkish metropolis, Bursa, were announced a little earlier.
The number of sold residential units for the month exceeded 11,000: 11,196 lots.
Among these, 3,774 residences were purchased by buyers who resorted to mortgage lending. This is the second indicator in the country for May, after Istanbul.
There were exactly twice as many buyers who pulled money "out from under the pillow" - that is, who paid in so-called cash: from a bank account and without loans. So, 7,422 residential units were purchased outside the mortgage.
2,419 sold apartments or houses belonged to the category of new buildings (primary real estate), 8,777 - to the segment of secondary real estate.
Foreigners are also interested in the Turkish capital: citizens of other countries purchased not so much, but not so few apartments in May - 80.
Recall that in Ankara and the surrounding areas, land plots are also offered for sale, including for land construction.
