Restoration of 200 000 damaged residences has started

The Government has already begun rebuilding 11 provinces where housing was damaged or destroyed by the recent earthquake. At this stage, work has already begun in 200 000 residential premises. In parallel, the construction of new capital residential buildings has begun to solve the problem of the lack of a roof over the heads of victims of aftershocks in the region.

 

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum said that the territory will be restored in the near future. Explaining that some of the buildings that are not subject to restoration will be demolished; those that are subject to repair will be strengthened, their construction will be strengthened, etc. So far, citizens who have lost their homes are being transported to safe areas on the periphery.

 

Deliveries of the necessary building materials to the "affected" areas, especially iron and cement, have also started. As part of the very first stage, the Ministry will build about two thousand residences, including 1,797 residential residences, including 456 residential houses in Nurdagi, 399 in Islyakhia, 645 in Kilis and 287 in Kyakhta.

 

Earlier it was reported about the early launch of the construction of 30,000 residential lots in the affected areas.
