There are difficulties with the zoning of territories around the Istanbul Canal

Some difficulties are evident in Baklaly (Arnavutkey district of Istanbul), where a major project is planned in the immediate vicinity of the future man-made transport "artery" – the Istanbul Canal.

Earlier, according to Emlakkulisi, it was announced that thousands of new residences will be built in Arnavutkey, in several queues. In particular, they talked about apartments, which in the future will be allocated for the social housing project.

However, the Office of Mass Housing (TOKI) has postponed or canceled eight tenders in the area in 2022 alone; here is information about the latest cancellation. Also, in addition to the tenders that have not been held, there are also incomplete applications for zoning. Although there is already certainty with some stages of construction.

The issue of building a giant "city within a city" continues to be dealt with by the Ministry of Urbanization, Urban Planning and Climate Management, headed by Murat Kurum.
