Foreign buyers of houses and apartments in Turkey love Istanbul and this is the most popular destination for buying property. In the first nine months of 2020, foreigners bought 11,966 housing objects in Istanbul. The September total (2,370 properties) became the highest monthly sales indicator for the entire 2020.
Antalya became the second most popular city among foreign investors in real estate in Turkey: in the first nine months of 2020, foreigners bought 5,125 housing units here. The September sales to foreigners reached 1,018 apartments and houses in Antalya.
Ankara became the third most popular among foreigners in 2020. In the first nine months of this year, they sold 1,829 housing units in Ankara, and 347 units in September 2020.
Bursa took the fourth place in terms of the number of real estate sales to foreign buyers: 882 properties in nine months and 239 in September 2020. The resort town of Yalova closes the top five leaders in apartment sales to foreigners: 821 sales in nine months of 2020 and 168 sales in September.
