Turkish Airlines will provide housing for 14 000 of its employees

Turkish Airlines (or THY) reported that a decision was made to build housing for a total of 14 thousand employees of the company on its territory in Arnavutkey.

THY land in this Istanbul area covers 3.6 million square meters; the construction will be carried out in partnership with the Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Trust.

Residential lots will be built of two types: apartments in the 2 +1 or 3+1 format, that is, with two or three bedrooms. The price of such 2+1 residences will vary in the range of 2.5-3 million Turkish lira (TL), and 3+1 - at the level of about 3.5-4 million TL.

Those wishing to purchase such residences will only have to pay 20% in cash, and the rest of the amount can be paid in equal installments over 5 years, or 60 months.

Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines, said that all 75,000 family members of the airline's employees will be able to apply for newly built apartments: "Our goal is for employees who need housing to have the opportunity to purchase one near Istanbul Airport".

Recall that passenger traffic through the air hubs of the largest Turkish metropolis is approaching one hundred million.
