By the end of the year, Russians continue to lead in terms of buying Turkish housing. Staying in the first place for more than six months.
TOP-20 countries whose citizens purchased the most housing on the territory of the Republic of Turkey in November 2022 looks like this:
Russian Federation - 2575 housing units;
Iran - 519 units;
Iraq - 331 units;
Ukraine - 277 units;
Germany - 224;
Kazakhstan - 191;
Saudi Arabia - 128;
Kuwait - 116;
Azerbaijan - 104;
England - 92;
USA - 89;
Afghanistan - 80;
Egypt - 79;
Jordan - 78;
Pakistan - 61;
Palestine - 59;
Uzbekistan - 58;
Turkmenistan - 57;
Yemen - 56;
Canada - 55.
As you can see, the Russians are ahead by a huge margin. And Ukrainians are not far behind the "TOP-3". Analysts believe that without citizens of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, the volume of sales to residents of other states in 2022 could decrease to 40%.
This is a very significant injection into the Turkish budget; therefore, despite the fact that in Antalya, local residents called for a ban on the sale of residential real estate to foreigners, it is unlikely that this ban will be introduced in the foreseeable future.
