The dream of Antalya residents will soon come true: a high-speed train station will appear in the resort capital. This railway will connect Antalya with Eskişehir, which will reduce the way between Istanbul and Antalya to 4 hours and 45 minutes.
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, told residents about it. So, Antalya will be integrated into the network of high-speed railways. The estimated speed of 200 km/h is planned for the 425-kilometre section Eskişehir-Kütahya-Afyonkarahisar-Isparta/Burdur-Antalya and the 541-kilometre section Kayseri-Aksaray-Konya-Seidişehir-Antalya.
Part of the road to Burdur was put into operation, but the railway line to Antalya remained unfinished for a long time.
It is much more comfortable for those who do not like buses to travel between Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir.
It was reported that the duration of the railway journey from Ankara to Istanbul would be reduced to only 80 minutes.
