Manufacturing firms continue to mass produce residential containers for areas affected by the earthquake. Moreover, companies like Yako Groups switched from their main profile to construction, thereby emphasizing that they are aware of their responsibility to the needs of society.
Galip Olmez, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yako Groups, said that the most urgent and important need of people affected by the earthquake is food and shelter. And the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to providing them with housing as soon as possible is prefabricated factory houses. Or the simplest option: residential containers.
Galip Olmez also clarified that he expects more support from representatives of the sector for the mass production of temporary residential structures. In part, the authorities have already done this: the VAT rate on the supply of prefabricated buildings that will be erected in the earthquake zone has been reduced to 1%.
Which means that many more victims will be able to get a place to stay. By the way, a subsidy of 10 000 Turkish lira (TL) per person will be allocated for the purchase of residential containers.
Recently, it also became known that as part of the new campaign, the authorities are ready to compensate the buyers of factory houses 200 000 Turkish lira (TL).
