Real estate in Turkey: the main news of the past week – May 27-June 2

A selection of the most widely read news of the real estate market of the Republic of Turkey is in our weekly digest.

The first week after the second round of elections has passed; Recep Tayyip Erdogan retained the post of president. And now the population is waiting for the fulfillment of election promises. In particular, an increase in the number of homes for sale (which is potentially able to reduce steadily rising prices) and, at a minimum, control over rental rates, and, at a maximum, stop their growth.

Although market experts predict that housing will continue to increase in price.

As for the available assortment, developers will probably need help: after all, the costs of constructing residential and commercial real estate have increased.

Over the past week, nothing much has changed in the rental market. I mean, for the better; but for the worse - alas, at least one new reason for the tenants to be upset has appeared. The fact is that the owners, not wanting to lose income due to inflation (on annual contracts), here and there began to offer six-month lease agreements.

So now, in any case, landlords benefit more than tenants. Despite the fact that renting a house in Turkey is quite troublesome, especially when the owner is a foreigner. In this sense, it is easier and safer to invest in residences or apartments in complexes managed by hotel brands.

Well, two important news concerns the comfort of living in Turkey: the country is again on the short-list of world leaders in the number of beaches awarded the "Blue Flag". Antalya is the leader among the provinces.

Well, the number of national parks in the "service" of the population is steadily approaching twenty, and in the foreseeable future will exceed 80.
