Medical care at home for the elderly will appear in Turkey

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koja spoke about innovations that are important for relatives of patients at home. It will affect Turkish citizens over 80 years of age, as well as people over 65 years of age with confirmed chronic diseases.

Now they will be able to receive medical care directly at home: the relevant decision was prepared by the Ministry of Health and has already entered into force after publication in the official Gazette.

At the moment, data are being accumulated on medical institutions and personnel who will be able to provide medical services at home; so far, 86 coordination centers in 81 provinces, including 1,252 hospital brigades, have been reported. In total, now it is about 6,000 units of medical staff.

When serving patients, the specifics of various diseases will be taken into account; nevertheless, it is a great joy for those living in Turkey. Since earlier the arrival of the brigade at home was carried out in most cases exclusively within the framework of the "ambulance", for the hospitalization of the patient; or it was about a visit by a private doctor, for a lot of money.

Now there is progress on this issue.

This is especially important to our readers in the sense that many people, when purchasing housing in Turkey, transport their elderly relatives there. So, after obtaining citizenship of the Republic of Turkey, they will all be able to use medical services at home in the same way, which they are used to in Russia, albeit in a slightly different format from this.
