About a third of Russian citizens who have «registered» requests for the purchase of residential real estate abroad are primarily interested in Turkey. Which accounted for more than 30% of requests.
We present the top ten countries in terms of the total number of requests for the incomplete (taking into account the remaining weeks) 2022. The top three are Turkey (31%), the UAE (22%) and hot Cyprus (14%).
Also, in TOP-10 were (in order of decreasing demand):
Portugal (8%);
Greece (6%);
Malta (4%);
Caribbean countries (4%);
Spain (4%);
United Kingdom (4%);
Grenada (3%).
On the part of local residents, there is an ambivalent attitude towards such a large number of buyers of real estate from abroad. In Antalya, overloaded with immigrants, for example, there was even talk of a desire to prohibit foreigners from buying housing there; a petition was even created on the Internet about this.
At the same time, it has already become clear that if it were not for Russians and Ukrainians, the volume of transactions with foreign interested parties in 2022 could decrease by 40%.
