The authorities are naturally asked the question: should we wait for an update of measures to help the population in this matter? After all, many people are being resettled from emergency housing, and rent compensation is a controversial issue.
So, in order to enlist the support of Turkish citizens in the country-wide program of transformation of settlements, it is necessary to encourage residents of the same emergency housing financially.
To this end, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change announces financial assistance to those moving - partial compensation of rental payments.
As for the purchase, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change is already providing loans to citizens who want to purchase their own housing. Also, the interest rate on the loan will be reduced for them - below 1% - and the loan term for those who wish will be increased.
In the meantime, at least 230,000 Istanbul residences urgently need updating, although more than 3 million have already gained a second wind.
