Real estate prices in Turkey increased by 25.8 percent in a year

According to TurkStat, sales of houses and apartments in Turkey in September increased by 19.9 percent compared to August and decreased by 6.9 percent compared to September 2019 sales. The annual growth in property prices in Turkey recorded at the beginning of October 2020 amounted to 25.8 percent. The average cost of an apartment in Turkey was 590,343 TL (about €60,000), a square meter - 2,643 TL (about €270). There is now a moderate decline in residential property sales in Turkey. It has been caused by a gradual increase in mortgage interest rates as well as the fall of the Turkish lira.
Meanwhile, the construction sector has been growing in Turkey for five months in a row. The Concrete Manufacturers Association (TRMCA) released a status report for the industry in October 2020. According to the report, the construction sector in Turkey is going to end the year positively despite all the economic difficulties.
