In some provinces of Turkey rent of apartments and houses rises in price

Hürriyet Emlak, a real estate newspaper in Turkey, has published fresh data on real estate rentals for August 2020. According to the rental index (Hürriyet Real Estate Index), the rent growth rate is the highest in the following provinces: Mugla (86.25 percent year on year), Mersin (42.21 percent), Balikesir (35.23 percent), Tekirdag (30.55 percent). 

The prices for renting apartments in cities with a population of one million have also increased. The first place is Antalya (23.07 percent year on year), the second - Izmir (21.42 percent), the third - Istanbul (18.12 percent), the fourth - Bursa (12.13 percent), the fifth is Ankara with 11.92 percent.

In some districts of Istanbul, apartment rental prices have risen at a record high. Thus, rent in Basaksehir and Bagcilar increased by 54.32 percent; by 51.81 percent - in Gaziosmanpash, by 50.95 percent - in Esenyurt, by 50.37 percent - in Besiktash.

In some areas of Turkey's capital, the rent has doubled within the year. Records for the rise in prices for rented apartments have been observed in the following districts: Gölbaşı (93.99 percent), Cankaya (44.66 percent), Yenimahalle (32.27 percent), Etimesgut (30.37 percent), Mamak (28.01 percent).

A record rise in apartment rental prices was also observed in Cesme (126.10 percent on an annualized basis).
