The University of Alanya will provide electricity to the surrounding area

Ekrem Kalan, Rector of the University of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat Yiversitesi (ALKÜ), said that a contract for the construction of a solar power plant was successfully signed right on the territory of the University of Alanya, in the Kestel district.

Solar panels with a total area of 90 000 square meters will be installed on the roof of the campus and in the parking area. So, after they are connected to the necessary equipment, this "sun on the roof" will be able to cover the electricity needs not only of the university itself and the university campus, but will also be able to supply energy to other areas of Alanya and the surrounding area. Including, by the way, Gazipasha.

Well, this, in turn, will save about 47 million Turkish lira.

It is assumed that the new solar power plant will be able to generate 2.1 million kW of electricity per year.

Alanya is increasingly increasing its transport and social infrastructure, as well as increasing its investment importance in this region. So, recently hundreds of wealthy American tourists-investors arrived here on one liner.

Passenger traffic at Gazipasha Airport has grown; and it will grow even more when Pobeda Airlines reopens direct flights here from Moscow, which will happen in the coming weeks.

In Alanya itself, there are more and more new schools, social institutions, parks; even a new park for walking dogs.
