Top Turkish developers told their plans

Representatives of Turkish construction companies, included in the TOP-250 best developers in 2020, spoke about the plans and the real state of the sector. According to Bloomberg LP with reference to the Turkish Contractors Association, 44 Turkish construction companies were included in the 2020 world ranking. Turkey ranked second in terms of the number of companies included in the list and seventh in terms of revenue.

 

Ahmet Ligvani, CEO of GAMA Güç Sistemler ve Gama Endüstri said that:

- the main competitor of Turkey in the world construction market is China, however, Turkey plans to catch up and overtake the developers from the Middle Kingdom, who top the list;
 - the construction industry in Turkey will recover in 2021, although the final results of 2020 may be negative;
 - the construction sector is one of the locomotives of the Turkish economy, it supports many areas;
 - Turkey needs to expand its existing markets, now work is underway in the direction of Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, South American countries, Canada, USA.

Ebru Ozdemir, Chairman of the Board of Limak İnşaat believes that:

- Turkey is the most powerful country after China in the field of construction, but the work of Turkish developers is highly appreciated in China itself;
 - the work performed abroad by Turkish construction companies is completed successfully and without delays;
- Turkey's advantages are skilled labor, high speed of work, pricing policy: China loses to Turkey in this regard.

Ayhan Yavruju, CEO of Alarko Holding noted that:

- Turkey offers reasonable prices along with European quality;
 - During the pandemic, Turkish developers working overseas faced the problem of getting workers to the sites.

Turkish contractors work today in 127 countries with the total volume of projects of $407 billion.
