In Turkey, some indicators of growth or, conversely, decline in various segments of the country's economy have been announced. The construction sector recorded the maximum reduction in indicators this year in the 3rd quarter.
According to the published report, the Turkish economy grew by 3.9% in July, August and September (just the third quarter of 2022). Growth was observed in all sectors taken into account when collecting analytics; the reduction occurred only in the construction sector. Which is going through difficult times due to the weekly, almost daily rise in the cost of construction - tariffs for iron, cement, etc. are increasing almost daily; there are also losses in personnel – many workers are not satisfied with salaries, and highly qualified specialists often go to work abroad.
So, the construction sector showed negative growth – immediately by minus 14.1%.
Recall that in 2022 alone, Turkish contractors implemented projects abroad totaling about $9 billion.
