TOKI will offer preferential 2+1 apartments to low-income families

According to a recent announcement published by TOKI, it became known who exactly will get 2+1 apartments in Chorum, in the Çorum Merkez Celilkırı project. They will be distributed among low-income households.

The cost of these lots ranges from 300 to 378 thousand Turkish lira (TL). Everyone can apply, and then TOKI will draw lots. The lucky ones who will get the residences will become their owners, making 10% of the cost of the apartment as an entry fee. The remaining amount will have to be returned to the bank within 15 years; the monthly payment starts from 1,510 TL.

A so-called «reserve list» will also be formed: if someone from those who got residences during the first «round», for some reason does not buy housing, or the submitted documents do not meet the stated requirements, then the residence will go to the first participant of the reserve list in order; and so on.

Recall that at the moment, one and a half thousand liras of monthly payment can be considered a symbolic payment – in comparison with 10,000-20,000 TL, which have to be rented in many cities of Turkey.

Middle-income families are also expecting good news. Recall that the goal of the Office of Mass Housing Construction (TOKI) by 2030 is 2 million social residences.
