Development costs are growing rapidly, as the Turkish media write. Only in February 2023, the construction cost index increased by 2.08% compared to the previous month; the year-on-year increase was 72.37%.
The index of the cost of materials increased by 3.43 compared to the previous month; for the year, the increase is 62.52%. The labor force index for the same year rose by 103.99% - despite the fact that over the past month it, on the contrary, decreased (-0.74%).
Over the past three years, construction costs have approximately tripled, it was reported some time ago.
As for the key trends, starting from the end of winter, buyers prefer to purchase residences in low-rise buildings or - if they can afford it - the purchase of detached buildings.
