Sales of secondary apartments in Turkey exceed sales of new apartments and houses

From January to August 2020, 1,024,534 housing objects were sold in Turkey: 42.6 percent more than in the same period last year. This year, resale property sales for the first time in many years exceeded sales of new apartments in Turkey. From January to August, 706,702 secondary housing objects were sold. This is 63.3 percent of the total sales of real estate in Turkey during the above-mentioned period.

In July 2020, a record growth in home sales was recorded in Turkey - almost 300,000 apartments and houses were sold in a month. In August, real estate sales in Turkey fell to 170,000 properties, but on an annualized basis, the August sales showed an increase of 54 percent. And now, despite the gradual cancelation of mortgage campaign, the pandemic and economic turmoil, real estate investments in Turkey continue to attract a large number of people who want to securely invest their money.
