The first 50,000 owners of social apartments have been identified

The first lucky ones became known – the future recipients of 50,000 residences on preferential terms. Recall that the draw for social housing is carried out within the framework of the TOKI project «My first home, my first place of work».

The draw started on November 7, 2022; and at the moment it has become clear who will become the owners of the first fifty thousand lots in 23 provinces.

In the very near future, the beneficiaries of another 13,000 social residences will be named

As for the prices for preferential apartments, the cost of a typical lot 2 + 1 (with two bedrooms) with an area of approximately 70 to 85 square meters ranges from 608,000 to 770,000 Turkish lira (TL), depending on the province. For a 3+1 format with an area of approximately 105 sq.m, the price range is from 850,000 to 950,000 TL.

According to TOKI, monthly payments for new owners of the 2+1 format start from 2280 TL, 3+1 – from 3187 TL; installments are provided for 240 months (20 years).

The Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum said that the draw, which is conducted under conditions of full transparency and with the mandatory presence of a notary, will be completed by March 2023. Those in need will be able to move into the first 250,000 residences provided to them under the program within two years, according to the Department of Mass Housing Construction. Which, however, is reproached for too optimistic plans.
