Noting that the problem of non-compliance of rents with real prices cannot be solved with the help of only a 25% limit, representatives of this sector say that it is necessary to look for other ways out.
Finally, some of them have been announced:
new complexes belonging to the category of social rented housing should be built in partnership and cooperation between the public and private sectors;
it is necessary to check the order of prices in different cities - and prices in Turkey for basic necessities, including rent, vary greatly from province to province and even from city to city - and, accordingly, set the upper limits of rental rates. In order to reason with owners with exorbitant "appetites", as well as to force them to pay taxes taking into account the actual value of their currently owned housing;
introduce regulation of residential real estate advertising sites: after all, fake advertising has flooded the market, where intermediaries are presented as owners, and there is also an abundance of offers of "ghost houses" that do not exist in reality. Or existing, but already handed over, and demonstrated as "free";
control deposit fraud;
support housing construction;
create new residential areas around Istanbul that can be reached by public transport or by high-speed trains;
and, finally, to replenish the "cash register", from which it is planned to draw funds for all of the above, by introducing an increased tax on empty housing - at least in Istanbul.
