Real estate in Turkey: the main news of the past week – December 17-23

We present the penultimate digest of real estate and construction market news this year.

It turned out that in 2022, almost every third Russian who was interested in buying a home abroad was thinking primarily about Turkey; the UAE and Cyprus are still among the other «favorites».

Well, in the territory of the Republic of Turkey, the coastal regions are especially in demand in this sense (apart from Istanbul, of course); for the same reason, in the southern regions - the Antalya and Aegean coasts in the first place - real estate is getting more expensive the fastest.

And not only her: locals complain that due to the abundance of foreign yachtsmen who have overtaken their yachts and boats to the Turkish shores, the price of renting places at the berths of resorts has skyrocketed.

Although resorts are developing especially fast: for example, there will be more public beaches in Bodrum. The number of Blue Flag beaches in Turkey is also increasing every year, which is among the top three world leaders in this parameter.

In general, 2022 turned out to be a very difficult year for the construction sector - even though the Turkish quality of work is «on top», and Turkish contractors have implemented almost 100 billion projects in Russia alone.

Well, on the eve of 2023, we remind property owners of the upcoming increase in property tax.
