The number of ferry routes in Istanbul has increased

Despite the winter and cold weather, the number of water transport routes continues to increase in the largest Turkish metropolis. Namely – ferry «ways».

In 2022, several new ones were launched at once, and this is in addition to additional funicular routes and several important fragments of metro lines, including the «branch line» opened in autumn to Sabiha Gokcen Airport, located on the Asian side.

The new ferry route will run from Kadikey to the Golden Horn Bay, and will «affect» both its shores. Stops are planned in Kasimpasha, Haskey and Syutludzha – on the one hand, and Eyup and Fener – on the other.

Recall that the overland (underground) alternative to the ferry crossing is Marmaray, connecting the European and Asian parts of the metropolis.

Recently, Istanbul was recognized as one of the best, including the most comfortable cities on the planet, getting into TOP-20.
