Financial indicators of construction companies in Turkey are growing annually

Gross sales of companies operating in the Turkish construction sector have been increasing regularly over the period 2016-2021. As a result, it reached a volume of 620.8 billion Turkish lira (TL) according to the data for the last 12 months recorded in the report.

 

This information is contained in the results of the study «Industry Balances-2021», published by Emlakkulisi with reference to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute. 

 

While in 2016 the total gross sales volume was equal to 290,647,203,000 TL, in 2017 it increased to 361,205,985,000 TL, in 2018 - 436 111 145 000 TL, and in 2019 - up to 484,971,657,000 TL. 

 

Even during the years of the pandemic, the positive dynamics persisted: sales of players in this sector amounted to 503,862,784,000 TL in 2020 and 620,768,301,000 TL in 2021. 

 

Of these, the figures in the domestic market increased from 266.7 billion to 558.7 billion TL, and in the external (abroad) - from 18.9 billion 50.5 billion TL.

 

Also, according to the statistics obtained, the size of assets of companies operating in the construction sector increased over the same period from 830.1 billion TL to 1.9 trillion TL, and their equity - from 163.3 billion TL to 347.3 billion TL.
