Share of real estate sales in Turkey to foreigners - only 3.5 percent

Turkey is optimistic about the United States and European countries, which manage to earn serious money on the sale of apartments and houses to foreigners. However, in Turkey itself, the share of foreign investors in housing is still 3.5 percent. These figures have been published by Emlak Kulisi, the construction and real estate newspaper in Turkey. To increase the share of foreign buyers, Turkey will have to build more conceptual housing projects: foreigners most often buy new apartments in conceptual luxury residential complexes.

Last year (which became a record in terms of real estate sales in Turkey to foreigners), foreign investors bought 45,500 Turkish residential properties, spending a total of almost $6 billion. In 2020, experts predict an increase in home sales to foreigners only in the last quarter of the year.
