Citizens of Russia, Iran, Iraq, Ukraine and Kazakhstan buy the most housing in january

January was not successful in home sales to foreigners: this is the lowest figure in two years. Nevertheless, dozens of countries are still interested in residential properties in Turkey. Here are the 20 states, the citizens of which purchased the most apartments and houses in Turkey in the first month of 2024.

In descending order:

  • Russia — 555 housing units
  • Iran — 208
  • Ukraine — 127
  • Iraq — 99
  • Kazakhstan — 99
  • Germany — 73
  • Afghanistan — 55
  • Azerbaijan — 52
  • USA — 47
  • Palestine — 45
  • China — 42
  • England — 37
  • Saudi Arabia — 35
  • Kuwait — 33
  • Egypt — 30
  • Canada — 29
  • Pakistan — 29
  • Kyrgyzstan — 27
  • Sweden — 25
  • Uzbekistan — 25

As you can see, Ukraine and Kazakhstan are among the long-standing "top three" — Russia, Iran and Iraq. There were many countries that shared one place in the ranking, as the number of purchases is the same, for example, Iraq and Kazakhstan (99 each), Canada and Pakistan (29 each), Sweden and Uzbekistan (25 each).

Turkish economists expect international sales to pick up in 2024.
