Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum said that 5,135 million "valid" applications were submitted for the project "My first home, my first workplace". That is, those where the applicants met the requirements.
This figure broke the historical record for the number of applications in promotions of this kind.
The social project "My first Home, my first workplace" - the largest in terms of providing housing for those in need – has given hope to millions of Turkish citizens; out of more than five million, two are young people.
One of the provinces that the project focuses on is Giresun; the authorities have particularly ambitious plans for it, including the creation of a beautiful national garden and its opening in 2023.
Recall that the draw for social housing in megacities started in the fall of 2022. The first 50 thousand future recipients of preferential social housing have already been identified.
The authorities also denied rumors that some of these apartments will be transferred to persons who are not Turkish citizens: according to the rules of the campaign, foreigners cannot apply for preferential apartments from TOKI.
