About Calis

Calis is situated to the north-west of Fethiye town centre and just 45km from Dalaman Airport.

Popular with foreign nationals, the community enjoys access to a long beach famous for its sunsets. Activities include wind-surfing and kite-boarding, while the beach is also renowned as a nesting site for sea turtles.

Average temperatures in July and August are around 32C while winter temperatures rarely drop below 10C.

The community has its own Sunday market, doctors’ surgeries, bakers, chemists, supermarkets, numerous shops and a popular seaside promenade lined with bars and restaurants.

The state hospital is nearby while regular bus services connect the community with Fethiye. There is also a water taxi to Fethiye in the summer when boat tours are also available to the local islands and bays.
