In July 2020, 26,885 residential properties were sold in Ankara - 11.7 percent of the total number of all July real estate sales in Turkey. The capital of the country became the second city after Istanbul with the highest home sales in July, the vast majority of buyers were Turkish residents (with the exception of 101 foreigners who bought property in Ankara in July).
Most of the transactions fell on secondary housing (20,530 objects), and only 23 percent - on new apartments (6,335 objects).
From January to July 2020, 95,963 apartments and houses were sold in Ankara: 29.3 percent more than in the same period in 2019 (58,305 objects).
