Secondary housing in Turkey to be sold and evaluated under the new rules

Turkish newspapers predict the beginning of a new era in the secondary real estate sales in Turkey, which will come with the introduction of the latest system for evaluating secondary housing. The new system will take into account many factors in the pricing of a property, including the age and condition of the building, urban zoning, seismic hazard and much more.

With the introduction of the new assessment system for secondary houses and apartments, sellers will not be able to artificially raise prices, it will be easier to regulate real estate trade in Turkey, experts say. Apartment owners wishing to sell them will now be required to register their properties in the general electronic system and adjust prices in accordance with the pricing factors that will be introduced in the near future.

In addition, only licensed real estate agencies can sell secondary real estate in Turkey from September 1, with which the owner of the apartment must conclude an agreement before selling.
