Residential property prices in Turkey continue to rise, as does the number of sales. Emlak Kulisi, the Turkish construction and real estate newspaper, published an analytical report which says that 14 percent more homes were sold in the first quarter of 2020 than within the same period last year. When it comes to secondary housing, sales increased by 28 percent.

A report from the Association of Realtors of Turkey (TUGEM) says apartment prices have increased by 14 percent on average in Turkey over the year. And the average price per square meter at the end of the first quarter of 2020 is 2,434 lira (about €300). The average payback period for an apartment in Turkey, according to the report, is 18 years, and the time it takes to sell an apartment is 77 days. How much has the price of housing in Antalya province, popular with foreign buyers, increased over the year? According to the report, apartments in Antalya have risen in price by 20 percent over the year, the average cost per square meter is 2,820 lira (€350).
