Corona-safe houses become popular rental options in Turkey

In Turkey, on the coast of Erikli and the Saros Gulf, corona-safe rental houses have been offered to holidaymakers. These are holiday houses that have received a special coronavirus safety certificate. According to the Anadolu news agency, municipal brigades carry out checks for compliance with the requirements of coronavirus safety certification. In the region, where about 3 million people vacation every year, tourists are mostly accommodated not in hotels, which are few, but in holiday cottages - up to 10 thousand houses in high season.

Cottages applying for safety certificates should not have old, rusty or moldy items, sleeping places on the floor (you can accommodate as many guests as there are beds, air mattresses are prohibited). Each guest should be provided with separate cutlery and kitchen utensils, several additional sets of new bed linen, all personal items (from slippers to bottles of drinking water) should be packed. Four hours before the arrival of the next guests, certified cottages are thoroughly washed and disinfected, and water tanks are cleaned. The daily cost of renting a "safe house" is 200-400 liras. Each certified cottage has a corresponding marking on the facade, and there is a stand with police, gendarmerie and landlord numbers in the house.
