Registering property in Turkey becomes more expensive

The fee for getting a title deed in Turkey (TAPU) has increased to 1126 lira (about €140). Anyone who plans to purchase a Turkish home will have to pay this fee to the Cadastral Office when registering a transaction. The below costs are not included in the property cost in Turkey, that is why the buyer should also consider them to know precisely how much they have to pay for the property and its registration.

Full list of costs for TAPU registration:

  • fee for registration of TAPU at the Cadastral Office - 1126 lira;
  • expert assessment of the cost of an apartment (this cost is indicated in the TAPU) - from 1000 to 2000 lira;
  • property tax - 4 percent of the cadastral value;
  • sworn translator - 350-550 liras;
  • translation of documents certified by a notary - 150 liras / page.
