Taut Evi for sale in Istanbul - villa of the legendary German architect

A unique property in Turkey is up for sale. In Istanbul's Kuruchesme district, Taut House has been set out for sale. This house is a Japanese-style villa designed by the German urban planner and architect Bruno Taut at the beginning of the last century for his family. The cost of the pink house on pillars, which has become the symbol of Istanbul, is 95 million lira (about 11 million euros). The house's area is 600 m2 and land area is 2 acres. The current owner of the collectible property has owned it for twenty years.

The worldwide fame of the architect Bruno Taut was brought by the residential complexes he created in Berlin ("Uncle Tom's hut" in the Zehlendorf district and the village of Hufeisen in the Britz district) and the exhibition pavilions "Glass House" and "Steel Monument". Taut gained fame in Turkey after he created a hearse for Ataturk. Bruno Taut is the only foreigner, non-Muslim, buried in Turkey at the cemetery of the holy martyrs of Edirnekapi.
