The housing sales boom continues in Turkey. The June sales record (312,409 properties) was broken in July 2020: 365,179 properties were sold in Turkey during the second summer month. According to the results of the first seven months of 2020, the total number of housing sold reached 1,423,627 objects, and the total cost of transactions - 265,698,433,876 liras.
According to data published by the Turkish Banking Regulation and Supervision Authority, the volume of mortgage lending from the beginning of 2020 to August 7 amounted to 265 billion 722 million lira. Experts predict that now that mortgage rates have started to rise, property sales in Turkey will stop growing so rapidly.
