Quarter of old Turkish houses restored in bursa

In Bursa, the fourth largest Turkish city, the restoration of the Demirtaspasa quarter (Bursa Demirtaşpaşa Konakları), which is also known an open-air museum, is being completed. The old quarter consists of three historical properties in Turkey - mansions belonging to the architectural heritage of Bursa. The mansions are adjacent to the ancient bathhouse of the Ottoman period and adorn one of the central streets of the city - Inenu Avenue.

The colored two-storey buildings with wooden ceilings, door and window openings and ceilings, finished in ceramics, have been meticulously restored both from the outside (roof, plaster, frames, doors, fittings) and from the inside. The restorers have returned the historical properties of Turkey to their original appearance and layout including the basement, ground and first floors. Today, two buildings that make up the historic Demirtaşpaşa Konakları quarter are owned by the municipality, and the third house is a property of a private owner.
