Owners of olive groves, including those within nature reserves, have listed for sale several plots with olive trees in the Antalya Province. These include, among other areas, plots on the world-famous Kekova Island with a historical heritage site – underwater ruins of an ancient city, and also lands near Kaş, a popular resort town. For instance, an olive grove with the area of 16,273 sq m on the Kekova Island is listed at the asking price of 1.627 million Turkish Lira (TL). 20,000 sq m of land with an olive grove in Kaş-Kekov, a special nature reserve area, are listed for TL 2.5 million. Larger areas are also on sale, at a higher price of course, e.g. 30,000 sq m for TL 4 million.
Even though this area is covered with olive groves, the land plots still attract attention because some of them offer stunning views of the sea, while others are actually on the seafront and have their own coves.
That is why the authorities warn new buyers against attempting illegal construction that is prohibited here. A few unauthorized villas on such agricultural lands have already been demolished. However, some investors are very interested in these areas even with no development allowed.
Particularly attractive offerings are listed in different regions from time to time, such as a land plot in Ankara for only around TL 40,000.
